The Jezreel Valley Regional Project
JVRP is a long-term multi-faceted research project dealing with the archaeology and history of the Jezreel Valley. Its primary objective is to complete a comprehensive, modern survey of the Valley. In addition, short-term and medium-term excavation projects are undertaken, in part to ground-truth survey results. I am also one of the series editors for Jezreel Valley Regional Project Studies, our monograph series published by Lockwood Press. Thus far my field work with JVRP has predominantly been to assist with the logistics of the excavations at Tel Megiddo East, an Early Bronze Age site in the greater Megiddo environs and supervising excavation teams at the Roman camp site of Legio where we are currently working.
